Were the gall bladder and heart problems connected in some way, or were you just lucky? (I still remember a girlfriend/med student coming home from MCW one day exclaiming excitedly, "Jack! You can have two diseases at once!") I have a friend who had her gall bladder removed a decade or so ago and seems to be leading her life much the way she did, albeit without pain. As for the potassium loss, I'm sufficiently sophisticated to say, "Eat more bananas!"
If Pathology is seriously running tests on what they removed from you (psychic surgery, I hope), I wish you the best possible outcome. And in any case, feel better and get well.
