Spiced apple sauce

This one is nice with e.g. a roast, the christmas ham, etc. Also nice on porridge, unless you have silly notions of keeping your breakfast bland at all costs. The source claimed it was "18th century style", but gave no source recipe; it could be Kajsa Warg, but I have not checked.

  • 3 kg apples
  • 1 kg sugar

Using the neat canning funnel makes the filling a less messy operation.

Oh, my, yes. And jar tongs are another happy invention.
