Reading Week FTW. The occasional indoor cold snaps and nagging errands, and money worries notwithstanding. If I was snapping last week, I'm surely unwinding now.
I've gotten about...half of what I wanted to do this week done, including some campaign plotting which deserves its own entry. Tomorrow I have to head out to run some new errands. Which means, of course, that this is the perfect time for the first actual snowfall in about a month's time.
I need to brush up on my Mesoamerican and Ancient Chinese history for Monday's exam. Both the book and my interests are a tad Eurocentric, but this doesn't worry me excessively because history is a delight to me whoever's it is. Just some parts of the world interest me more than others. I also need to do some PHIL readings, catch up on Psych, book more research appointments, look into summer work....hrm. I also generally think I need to get out more, but right now my money situation is still in a lot more flux than I want it to be, especially with the unexpected outlay for the furnace. Oh, well. We'll see what happens.
Despite the (deliberate) dearth of details from
my New Year's trip, one thing I had meant to offer up was photographs. Then again, I had also meant to post photos from my trip to Vancouver last year, and forgot entirely. I still have them, if anyone cares. :P Regardless, my being silly and forgetting my camera put the kibosh on that plan. But after the New Year's Eve party drew the usual contingent of shutterbugs, I expected some of them to
surface eventually.
Finally, today's memes.
First, because I got tagged by

5 weird habits of mine.
- I'll eat ramen without actually cooking it, just breaking up the noodles, sprinkling the flavouring over them, and snacking away. Blame my junior high school and it's complete lack of a microwave.
- I hold long, involved, and coherent conversations (usually arguments) with...myself.
- When my hair gets too long, I start to pull out bits at the sides of my head whenever my hands are sufficiently idle.
- I drink like a desert wanderer dying of thirst. Not alcohol. Juice. Tea. Anything fruit-flavoured to even a vague degree is not safe around me for any longer than it takes to pick up the glass.
- Whenever I try and speak in another voice, it always comes out in a (IMO) horrible fake English accent.

WHITES are motivated by PEACE, seek independence and require kindness. They resist confrontation at all costs. (Feeling good is more important than being good.) They are typically quiet by nature, they process things very deeply and objectively, and they are by far the best listeners of all the colors. They respect people who are kind, but recoil from perceived hostility or verbal battle.
WHITES need their quiet independence and refuse to be controlled by others. WHITES want to do things their own way, in their own time. They ask little of others, and resent others demanding much of them. WHITES are much stronger than people think because they don't reveal their feelings. WHITES are kind, non-discriminatory, patient and can be indecisive, timid, and silently stubborn. When you deal with a WHITE, be kind, accept (and support) their individuality, and look for nonverbal clues to their feelings.
