I use Laura Mercier's tinted moisturizer- it's expensive but doesn't go orange on me, though I use a primer with it most of the time.

Yeah, that's the brand that keeps popping up on my radar. I wish Sephora weren't so far away.

I know it's not a tinted moisturizer, but a good, light-feeling foundation is MUFE's face and body foundation. They have a couple of really awesomely light shades and it's gel-like in texture, rather than creamy. It's available from Sephora. It's a little more expensive but it's amazinggggg.

Thanks for the tip! I don't have a convenient Sephora (I think the closest one is in King of Prussia?), so all these brands that make good pale makeup are inconvenient. I may have to take a drive someday soon.

I don't have a convenient Sephora either. The closest ones are 16 hours east in Toronto, or 8 hours south in Minneapolis. :/ It's worth it when you find your colour though, then you can always just order online.

OK! This happens to me alot, but the first thing in foundation is if you want to have skin seem lighter, get a tone that makes a little difference. I've gotten tanner during the years due to sports and all that and my foundation color is getting really pale on me to the point where people say, "are you wearing powder..." so unless your ready to take a bath in powder I suggest you use a foundation that makes your face appear a little lighter or give it a glow. But in foundation I suggest the mineral powder kind, I recently just received a mary kay mineral foundation kit. But the tone is too light for me, so I dab a little on my brush, and use the lid as a mixing palette, but not too much, and if the color isnt right on me I just...swirl my brush until it blends in :D so mineral powder foundation is incredibly easy to adjust your skintone too...its a low price of 18$ online but you can probably find it in a major drugstore, like ulta. I use ivory 1 and you can see my skintone from my userpic!!! If you have any other questions feel free ( ... )
