Getting Rid of a Tan

I went to the beach recently, and in my excitement to get into the water, I forgot to reapply sunscreen. Now I have a tan, and it looks horrible. I can cover up the tan on my body until it fades, but not on my face. Buttermilk applied at night and washed off in the morning is an old remedy for getting rid of a tan.

In the meantime, you could just wear a lot more makeup, with a thicker layer of zinc-oxide-based sunscreen underneath. The sunblock makes you look paler, and cuts your fade time.

If it's not red, I recommend exfoliating. Gets the dead skin off and underneath is usually lighter.
