Naminé pulled the phone away from her ear, and stared at it for a few seconds. These international calls were bizarre. There was some delay going and she would have sworn that was a thud.
Or she had possibly just shocked her little sibling. (Or woken her up in the middle of the night. How sure was she that she'd gotten the time zone right?)
"Dōjima?" she asked again, uncertainly. "Did I lose you?"
Snowmonster. Same as ever. "Yes, I'd like to order some awesome, please? It's going to be delivery, not pick-up. I'll pay extra if it's here in thirty minutes or less."
"The name is Snowmonster? S-n-o-w-m-o-n-s-t-e-r?" she spelled patiently. "And I'm afraid I don't know where I am, exactly. I've discovered I'm in Europe. Near Europe, perhaps."
"Really and truly," she promised, her own voice tightening a little as well. "Valentine and I have somehow ended up in a place called Brighton. I'd blame Fandom but neither of us were anywhere near it at the time. I'm tempted to, anyway."

Tōko was probably on vacation somewhere for Golden Week, and drunk-dialing her from someone else's phone. Again.
"Moshi moshi!" she sing-songed. "Hey, Tōko, how hungover are you?"

She'd nearly greeted the other girl as onee-san, but wasn't sure if that could be used by either sister.

I mean, yeah, he knew what a PHONE was; after all, he'd been in Fandom an entire year. He just didn't get many calls.
