AND most of the members are either current seniors or alumni....just out of curiousity, how do you all feel about the walk out and the calendar change

everyone's being such a baby. grow the fuck up. after you're done with school, you don't get ANY breaks! winter break? NO. summer break? HELL NO. spring break? you fuckin' wish. just be glad you get any break and shut the fuck up, nobody cares what you complainers think.
that's my take.
you know, i have a two week winter break and maybe a three week summer break and that's it? i have classes to take during summer and winter terms, but i don't complain. i actually want to learn, and i'm glad i get any break.
I supported the calendar change the entire time I was at Pali, and so I still support it now. I feel like the argument that the "first summer will be shortened" is moot, because it's not as if that time just disintegrates. It'll be 'regained' when students are finishing their senior year, because college schedules aren't simultaneously changing, so essentially that summer (before you start college, or work, or anything else) is just three weeks longer... if that makes sense
( ... )
I didn't support it before, but I see why it's better. People are just upset that they're going to get a shortened break for one summer. I wish I said YES to the change before, I was also immature about being upset over the loss of one summer, too.
I'm not sure of how long most summer programs are, but Juniors may deprived of some this summer.
I'm referring to the ones where people can go visit and take some courses at different universities and such.. which is important for college, correct?
Seeing as a lot of other schools follow a schedule more like the one Pali will have, rather than the one that it has now, I doubt there'll be any conflict with those kinds of programs. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure most of those end in mid-August or so...
