Free couch ... and loincloth: A true story

Perhaps the truer truism is that there is no such thing as a free couch. Or at least, one that is still situated in someone else's domicile. One you could sleep on for a night every so often. I'm a graduate student in San Diego and once a week my field work takes me up to Los Angeles. To avoid traffic and make sure I can arrive as early as possible ( Read more... )

While the story is amusing, I am also amused by the fact it is tagged "loincloth" if only because I wonder just how many other stories will be thus tagged.

That would be great! I'm trying to get a decent list of couches so I can pop in on people no more than once a month. I travel light and am very self-contained :) Also more than happy to bring beer, cookies, or other tokens of gratefulness!
