I totally dig stuff like Clif bars. They are wonderfully mindless food that gives me the calories I need to get to my next meal.
I have to 'eat breakfast' between 6:30 and 6:45 and to be very honest, my stomach just isn't ready to accept food at that time. I also don't like eating at my desk.
Speaking of 'cheaper clif bars' - you might want to consider making your own. At least that way you get to control the quality of the ingredients.
