Sounds like a lovely pastiche to me. Regardless of my religion or lack thereof, I'm always interested to hear the beliefs of my friends. That is to say, I'm interested in discussion, not proselytizing from either side.
But the short version is, if you have found a belief system that improves your life and does not deprove the lives of others, then more power to you.
I'll confess I had assumed you were an atheist until recently when you made a few references to being religious/spiritual. It's good to get a run-down of what that means to you so I can understand where you're coming from and don't jump to conclusions again. And what you believe is certainly a position that it's easy for me to respect even though I don't share it.
I like this post. Not because I agree or disagree with it, although I think we share many of the same points of view, but because I understand the position of having to defend what you believe while making it clear that you're not trying to make anyone else believe it...
Glad to hear this! Actually, I kinda already knew. I totally get that religion doesn't work for everyone. Hell, it doesn't really work for me and I'm trying, but faith can be a good part of people's lives. And I'm in favor of you having things in your life that you find fulfilling.
