Yesterday and the day before were the funerals of the 2 persons who died because of the police's violence. About 20 thousand of fellow protesters went to the temples where the funerals were held. Among them were the queen, all members of opposition party and some army big hats.... Killer Prime Minister was no show...but even if he were there, he ( Read more... )

Honestly, I totally admire you! I wish I was politically driven, and us Canadians just had our federal elections earlier today. I voted, but I feel I was pretty uninformed, only skimming articles on the various platforms. Ah, well... maybe one day I'll dedicate more time to politics and such.

And your parents are just concerned, just like all us here reading this! Though I bet they're quite proud to have a daughter whose will is strong enough to stand up for her beliefs. Anyway, I'm rambling... So, please do your best to stay safe! Plus enjoy the rest of your trip!

Exercising your rights at elections is also a noble thing. Sometimes we forget that true democracy only exists for a mere minute or so when we are at the ballot, voting, since most of the time, governments are making various decisions which are unknown to us....

Politics is around us no matter we want it or not. We are affected by it tremendously even though we are not politically active....that's why I say voting is already so noble.

Please don't worry, I'll try my best to stay safe...until the day my parents ship me to malaysia... :(

Stay safe dearie... and it's not just the Arashi fan in me saying so... I always feel my spirit die a little when I hear about people who are oppressed, politically or otherwise. BUT, am much ashamed to admit that I'm not politically active like you. Genki!

Ah i know what you mean here, I was also part of the millions of people of my country that rallied for our former president to be ousted from his position, and like you my parents both supported me with that cause though they also feared for my safety as the military people are behind the killings of protesters... but we made it through we changed president! ^^o I seriously hope that peace and unity prevail at Thailand again.

On the side note: i love your little babies! ^^o they are too cute <333

I hope and pray for Thailand's brighter future, too...What you did is also admirable. If we just sit on our butts and dreaming that things will get better, I bet nothing will ever change. I know that you understand me...being politically active is very important, right? :)

My babies....I miss them loads....can't wait to see them again :)
