Humans
Normal Humans: Have no special abilities, and most are blissfully unaware of the supernatural. However, there are a handful that know about them and if they are lucky enough to survive after finding out they are watched closely and sworn to secrecy. NOTE: In this game, the pbs alone are played as "normal humans" and this is the only category they can be played as.

Psychics/Clairvoyants: Are supposedly sensitive to supernatural forces: claiming, or believed to have, extraordinary sensitivity to nonphysical or supernatural forces. Meaning that psychics can pick up on supernatural presences, and in some cases might be able pinpoint exactly what species another character is. Sometimes they are able to predict the future, although there might be many outcomes pending on free will, outside influences, etc.

Mediums: Mediums are those who can speak to the dead. Some mediums need a personal item of the deceased to better create a connection with them, others do not need a personal item; it all depends on the level of training that the medium has. Sometimes ghosts will seek out mediums because they are attracted to them due to their ability. Ghosts will often stick with a medium for a certain amount of time, or until the medium has helped them move to another plane of existence. Mediums can see ghosts, and the stronger the spirit of the deceased the better the medium can see them.

Empaths: Empaths have the ability to feel the emotions of those around them, and in some cases they can affect the moods of others with their own emotions.

Witches: Can be either gender, typically though they are female. Witches have a little extra something about them that makes spells, and incantations work a lot better than someone else who just ‘dabbles’ in the craft. Witches can practice white, black or gray magic. White being good, black being evil and gray being neutral. All witches have their own spell books, meaning spells that they have created or that have been passed down from one generation to the next. The spells within this book are unique to the witch, or to the witches family.

Hunters: Hunters vary, sometimes they have supernatural abilities (like the ones listed above), and other times they are just normal people who have been highly trained in combat who have had the misfortune of running into something supernatural at some point in their lives. They can be male or female, they can hunt anything that’s supernatural for any number of reasons.

Werecreatures
Are not affected by holy objects unless they are silver. Can be killed by head, heart and spinal trauma. They can heal quickly unless there is too much silver in the wound(s). All of the silver must be gotten out in order for the Were to heal quicker, but it still will be a little slower healing than a normal wound. Excessive amounts of silver left in the body will kill a Were.

They can catch human diseases, but it’s very rare. Colds and the like take far less time for Weres to heal from as their metabolism is quicker. Weres have telepathy while they are in their animal form with any other species that also has telepathic powers.

Weres have heightened senses, speed, stamina and etc. Other than these small differences they look like normal humans, and age just a little slower than we do. Most Weres will live to a ripe old age of around 200, while there might be rumors of Weres living past that age, there will not be any Weres in game that are above that age.
Weres have three forms: human, bipedal, and animal. And Weres come in all different breeds of animals. Born Weres can 'free change'. Meaning they can change without the full moon into their animal, or bipedal form. Bitten Weres can only change on the full moon, and born Weres can fight the change, but it is painful and takes a lot of energy so it's far easier for them to change. Born Weres cannot free change until they hit puberty, but they will shift every full moon from the time they are born onward. If a were is newly bitten they will change the next full moon.

→ Both born and bitten weres can breed with weres of the same species, vampires and humans (although there is a 50/50 chance that the child will be human with some enhanced abilities).
→ Bitten weres once pregnant will stay in their human form during the full moon. They will be more irritable than normal when the full moon comes around during pregnancy. They have a normal human gestation period of 9 months (4.5 months real time in this game).
→ All children born of a bitten were will be born human, staying that way until the first full moon after they've hit puberty.
→ Typically a bitten were only has one child, there have been reported cases of twins and triplets but those are very rare. Born weres usually have multiples.

With either branch of weres there is an increased risk of miscarriage or still birth if they mate with a human.


Shapeshifters
Shapeshifters are a strange breed of supernatural because they are like born Weres in having the ability to shift into their animal form whenever they choose. However, Shapeshifters do not have the ability to change someone into their species, they aren’t allergic to silver and they are not bound by the full moon like Weres. Unlike Weres, they do not have the benefit of super strength but their senses are keen.

If they choose to mate with a human, the chances of their offspring becoming a shifter is at 50%. If they mate with another shifter the chances are 100%, but if the parents shift into different types of animals there is the possibility that the child can shift into an animal that’s completely different from it’s parents.

Shifters also age much slower than humans or Weres for that matter, and they can live upward to 500 years. If a shifter spends an extended period of time in their animal form, they will begin to take on characteristics of the animal they shift into when they do go back to their human form. There have been reported cases of shifters becoming permanently stuck in their animal forms.


Vampires
NOTE: In this game, the deceased celebs can be played as "vampires". This is the only category the deceased celebs can be played as.

Are not affected by holy objects. They can be killed by head, heart, and/or spinal trauma. Have incredible healing powers, and if their blood is used on the wound of a human/were it will heal faster. They cannot bleed to death, but if another vampire takes too much of their blood they will be weakened and need time to recover.

All vampires have fangs, and to blend in with others they have to learn how to hide them. Vampires drink blood to survive; however, there will be a few exceptions to this rule. They can, like demons, feed off of emotions: lust, anger, pride, etc. There can be only one emotion if you choose for them to feed off. Example: Vampire A likes the emotion fear, he/she would cause fear in their victim and feed off of that emotion. A vampire’s eyes do not change color with their emotions, or when they feed.

Each vampire has a certain Gift. Normally these are passed on from his/her sire. However, these Gifts do vary slightly from their sire’s Gift. Gifts range from telepathy, healing others, fog creation, mind reading, astrological sense, fortune telling, etc. Their age does affect their Gift, the older they are the more powerful their Gift.

They cannot catch human diseases. Vampires keep their numbers up by siring and reproducing with other vampires, werewolves and humans, however if the human is carrying the baby they must be sired by a vampire (any vampire) before the baby is born or they will die. Vampires can sire if they are over the age of 200 years. Trying to sire before this will cause the death of their 'childe' as they are too weak to pass on the correct genetic code of vampiric survival.

A young vampire, without any magical aide, cannot stand to be exposed to sunlight. They'll burn in a matter of moments. After the age of 100 though, many vampires find that they can stand limited exposure to sunlight without too much discomfort. As years pass, they can increase their time in the sun and live relatively normal lives.


Sirens
The sirens are creatures from ancient times that draw men to them with their song. In Greek mythology, different sources speak of two, three or five nymphs with varying names (Among those: Leucosia, Ligeia, and Parthenope.) They were portrayed as bird-like women, but later, because they were often associated with the sea, they were pictured as mermaids. Their seductive singing lured sailors to their death on rockbound coasts.

Homer tells of how Odysseus was curious to hear the siren sing, thus he made his companions stuff their ears with beewax and have them tie himself to a mast, so he wouldn't be able to follow the siren song. When the sirens failed to lure Odysseus, they flung themselves into the waves and perished.

The siren song is an appeal that is hard to resist, but if followed will lead to bad results (mostly death).

The Sirens can appear both as women and men. The appeal of seducing their victims is to fall in love again and again. That love isn't only a sexual love, but any kind of love (e.g. brotherly love).

The Siren's call is transmitted through bodily fluids. It first charms its way through the victim's defences by reading their mind and acting accordingly, pretending to be the "perfect person" for the victim, and then infects them with spit or other bodily fluids.

The powers of the Siren:
* can shapeshift into a man or woman
* is able to read minds and transforms itself into what their victims desire most
* is very seductive and charming to win the victims over
* infects their victims through bodily fluids so they follow their orders
* leaves traces of oxytocin in the victim's blood (it's a love hormone that provokes feelings of euphoria)

The Siren's weaknesses:
* The Siren's true face is seen in a mirror.
* The only way to kill them is to stab them with a bronze dagger dipped into Siren-infected blood.
