Hi, y'all !
Roaming around in downtown Chicago yesterday was fun - decided to venture out there for the day to change the calm suburbia setting with Windy City dynamics and was blessed by the pouring rain, half-way blocked loop because of the Blues Fest, thorn ransack (yet not robbed)... pissy mood (which passed on the 3-rd hour of the walk) and

Hi Paloma ,
Very nice and impressive pics !
I think I would feel very oppressed next to such huge skyscrapers (especially the Sears Tower that I can see on one of your pics).
In France, we are not accustomed to see such high buildings (one exception: "le Quartier de la Défense" in Paris).
Have a nice week !

I remember the first time when I stood next to the Sears Tower in April 2000 - I felt that it was a creation from another world. Then the next event was that 2 weeks later I started my new job position in downtown Chicago and Sears became part of my daily landscape and I realized - it's only a beautiful creation that came to existence from the bold ambitions and talented hands of humans. Ain't no mountain high enough ! :)
I personlly will feel equally at home in Paris and in the the south of France. Do you ladies and gents accept uninvited guests's visits? :):):)I will intrude myself upon your hospitality next autumn.
I am very pleased to hear from you and hope that life is beautiful and treating you well on your side of the ocean.
Best regards,
Paloma

Chicago's pizzas are unbeatable. :):):)... unlike our Cubbies and Sox. (:(:(:
Public transportation is indeed very well organized in the Loop and the City of Chicago + the Metra rail(for suburbia) - you should see the Union station view M-Fr from 6 am to 7pm...its like an old style manifestation + add to all of this the new means of transportation - several types of scooters, which buzz around in the blink of the eye.I must admit are not only very funny, but very useful.
I went to the downtown yesterday again and enjoyed the whirlwind around the Puerto Rican parade taking place - lots of music, noise, laughter ... and scooters on Columbus drive. There was an abundance of police sirens too, but I was not singing in accompaniment. :)
How have you been lately? :)
Best wishes,
Paloma

You've had emotionally difficult week? I hope that all with family and friends is well. If it is related to work - work is changeable even in these difficult times, don't dwell on it. Every bad thing has a beginning and end - nothing lasts forever. I know that it is a cliche, but Mother nature, God's will, whatever you wish to call it... there is always tomorrow and the possibility to change the outcome by your own will and with the kind urge of the circumstances.:)
Hold on and cheer up !
Warm regards,
Paloma
PS: You will hear from me in addition to this message. As a reply to the rest.:)

Няма защо, наистина Родината ни е прекрасна и трябва да се популяризира, а българинът е талантлив човек и би отворил и врата без ключалка... човек никога не знае, кой стои зад нея.
Чикаго и велическвен град, но с различна красота - импозантна.
