some comfort during a time of betrayal..hiphopheather76April 25 2010, 21:45:07 UTC
Dear Paloma, I am very sorry to hear about the loss/betrayal of your friend. I have faced many a situation like what you have just described during my "young" life, way more than I would have wanted. And I am not going to sit here and tell you that I "know how you feel" because I do not. Instead, please let me offer you some words of hope and perhaps comfort, in the form of the last stanza of one of my published poems (O Weepy Day With Your Dreary Skies Overcast-2006). There is hope and times will get better! In the meantime, take care, pick yourself up by the bootstraps, put one foot in front of the other. Things will work out for the best, my friend-have faith.
with care and kindness, Heather

O Weepy Day, With Your Dreary Skies Overcast Take this rainbow for there’s hope yet Stop your tears and mourning for all that has passed Anything is possible your future is not set - H.M. Curry, 2006

Nice poem, Heather. I appreciate your sharing it with me. I assume that my former friend's idea had been that once I am left broken boned, in pain, with errands to run and without support I will start asking for help... NEVER ! I might ask a stranger, but never any of her breed. Anyhow, with the passage of days I find my situation better and when/if the situation calls for it, I can throw the boot and even drive. Ain't no mountain high enough!:)
