Since apparently I'm in a posting-happy mood (for once), I'll jot down my brief impressions of other stuff I've watched this season.
- Persons of Interest: A sleek veneer hiding a stupid premise and the absolute lack of charisma of the main dude. "I guess it looks okay?" is what I think about most JJ Abrams stuff (best example: Trek), so no surprise there.
- Terra Nova: Absolutely unlikable main characters (who aren't even meant to be unlikable!) and spending way, way too much time on uninteresting and badly-written dialogue. How can a premise about DINOSAURS!!! go this bad?
- Up All Night: I don't think it's bad, but it gave me a major case of second-hand embarrassment, so I dropped it.
- A Gifted Man: Patrick Wilson's srs bsns acting hiding what is, when it comes down to it, a cliche Lifetime movie premise and silly characters. Also he lost weight and looks like Will Arnett to me now, that makes me take him less seriously. Sorry?
- Community: Chang is ON FIRE. He's fantastic this season, I haven't physically laughed out loud at Community so much before. Professor Kane is amazing, too, and a breath of fresh air. Sadly the other characters are becoming less and less likable to me, a trend that started in season 2. Oh god Annie, why so annoying? Why are Troy and Abed suddenly boring? I have no strong feelings about Jeff or Pierce either way this season, but that's only because I never cared about them to begin with.
- Raising Hope: Still good, but I hate what Jimmie is doing with Sabrina. Cut it out before he becomes a creep. and I want more about the supermarket, I miss it.
- Criminal Minds: A hot mess of unrealistic development and torture porn. The show is dead.
- Happy Endings: YAY HAPPY ENDINGS, THE BEST SHOW ON TV RIGHT NOW!
- Fringe: Pretty good! Yay for Charlie sipping mai tais.
I ... I know it's horrible, but I'm thinking about watching Glee because people are saying it had storylines about Mercedes and Mike Chang. I didn't expect to see the day.
