Woohoo, I got a grant!

Hey, I have some good news (that is not computer related) that I thought I'd share - I got a grant I applied for, which means I have the financial support I need to go into the lab I wanted; I'll be studying (tentatively) microbial degradation of a class of organic polluntants under anaerobic conditions. Yay!

You couldn't just say "I'll be studying the way bacteria can be used to break down pollution in the dirt." :)

Well, what's the point of doing something like that if you can't make it sound super fancy?

Anyways, Congrats Lisa :-) They don't just throw money around, so you must be doing something right to impress them! Woot

Thanks.

Sadly, that WAS the dumbed down version...I thought I did a good job, hehe.

The technical description is bioremediation of polyaromatic hydrocarbons under anoxic, iron reducing conditions, and interactions with humic acids.
