I think she should go to the RA. The roommate sounds like an accident waiting to happen. Even if nothing comes of it, the conversation will be on record with the RA, so I think that's the way to go. And really, this sort of thing is VERY common. Her particular RA may not have experience with it, but someone else will. Maybe when she speaks to the RA, she could request a second RA come to witness the conversation, too. More ears will help the situation.

Probably being a sorority would be a wonderful blessing for Emma!
