Somehow, Pam knew before she even heard about it. Their hut had been destroyed. Again. This time it hurt a little more because the new addition had just been built on and she'd been so damn excited about it. Sure, Jim was disappointed. It felt like the island had some vendetta against them and would destroy every hut they'd try to make a home. He wasn't willing to give up on the dream, though. His stubbornness wouldn't let him.

"We'll have to rebuild. Again," he said with a sigh. "Only thing I can think of."

She pulled her legs up onto the bed, folding them like a pretzel, and settled back against the headboard and pillows. She dropped her hands into her lap with a sigh, then patted the bed next to her until Goldie jumped up.

"It just.. It really sucks that every time... I mean.. Really. Every time."

Jim walked to the bed, sitting down on it himself. He watched the cat hop up and rub against Pam's hand. "Maybe we should just build closer to the Compound. It might be safer, you know?"
