Someone just called and wanted to know if we had a dog, of course we told them no that we dont have a dog. She said as she came by our house a small dog ran out in front of her and there was nothing she could do but hit it. She said it was a small dog and I asked if maybe it was a light colored pikegnese and she said yes. This dog has gotten inside

I just totally randomly clicked on your journal through that kitty with the spots journal you commented in and read this post.
I seriously group the people who neglect and abuse thier animals right up on the same list of people who abuse and neglect thier children. I actually kind of just want to hit them with my own car, ya know? =I

I know what you mean. We want a dog so badly but our daughter seems to be allergic to dogs so it really makes me mad when I see people who CAN have dogs and then dont take care of them. Another thing I hate is when dog owners let their dogs run free and then neighbors end up shooting the dogs because they wont stay out of their yard. The dog is only doing what comes natural to them if they are allowed to run free, so if the neighbors have to shoot someone... shoot the dogs owner!

I felt bad once when my cat got a few mats when I went on vacation but it was only a few and I cut them right off. I don't think he noticed lol. He has SO MUCH HAIR!

I just get so pissed with people who dont care for their pets because we are dog lovers and we want a dog so bad but my little girl is allergic to them. Then I see people out here thats privelaged enough to have a dog and then they dont take care of them. Honestly, I dont agree with pet stores selling dogs because they will sell the dog to anyone that comes in with money to pay for it, unlike good reputable breeders who can turn you down if they think you wont care for the dog properly. We have finally figured out though that Kaylee is actually allergic to the dog salavia. She can not touch the dog, just his toy, and she will start breaking out.

Oh I KNOW. I totally understand how you feel. My parents took in a lot of dogs when I was growing up because people couldn't take care of them. :(

Have you looked into other pets instead? Poor girl. Sometimes there are shots available for dog allergies? Not sure if that would work for salavia. Do some online research too ... there may be some dog salavia that might not cause allergies?
