On January 1st, I went to a fabulous Hair of the Dog party hosted by a friend who knows all about food. I left behind me when David and I went home a backpack containing his slippers, my shoes, the pillboxes with my medication in them, and various items like an umbrella, some spare underwear, a hairbrush, and emergency candy in case the metformin

Sorry to read of your injury, but glad it isn't more serious. Aren't people wonderful creatures, at times? Huge kudo-points to the nice little lady who came to your rescue! A real life version of Knight in Shining Armor, for certain.
