And vienna is actually not that dead of an area. Tysons corner is mclean and vienna which is a pretty big suburb type area with lots of upcoming bars and scenes.
In terms of getting there, you can take the orange line to vienna. If memory serves its about a $4 train faire roundtrip.

1. You almost never flake. In all the times I've booked you - and obviously I've booked you a LOT over the course of nearly 2 years, you cancelled like...2 or 3 times. All with plenty of advance notice. Flaking now is not an indicator that you will continue to flake in the future.
2. Producers (or whatever) are always dealing with cancellations. As someone who has a minimum of 1 act cancel for EVERY SINGLE friggin' show (with the exception of Blue Bayou, once upon a time)...tons of people cancelled their appearance at the festival this year. Tons of people cancel their auditions, classes, or other expected attendences ALL THE TIME. It's really not *that* annoying, especially if it's one time and the person cancelling is doing so in a manner that I consider respectful (not calling would be intolerable!). Everyone understands that last minute cancellations happen ( ... )
