I don't think they know how the stasis chamber works. I mean, Carson didn't want to attempt resuscitating Elizabeth and only did so because she was pretty much dead either way. I don't think Carson would want to risk John's life first putting him under and second trying to bring him out.

BTW, I think you win the award for longest time between lj posts.

Still, I think my scenario would have worked, only instead of damaged from the Wraith attack, someone could have said, "Hello, don't understand it and don't want to experiment with the Colonel." And they could have had Carson say exactly what you said, with Elizabeth backing him up.

I guess this is seriously bugging me. They play around with tech they don't understand everyday; this is just one more piece. While the circumstances were more time-sensitive than they might generally want, I still think someone would have thought of it.

And surely others go over a year between posts.

If this bugs you that much, you should perhaps think about giving up Stargate fandom, because it is full of dropped connections.

And you haven't posted in over 2 years.
