Goodbye, Old Friend, Good Cat

When cvirtue and I chose Beowulf from the animal shelter (back in 1991, I think it was), he was such a little kitten I could hold him in one cupped hand. He was so small, we named him "Beowulf" as a joke. (Also, because then we could call him, singing, "Beeeeeeeeoo! Bay-ay-ay-oh! Beo come 'cause it's time to get fed!") Yes, we loved that furry critter. And about 15 years is a pretty long life for a cat who goes outside, I guess.
