Kimya Dawson and Magnetic Fields

May 03, 2004 10:02

I went to see Kimya Dawson along with the Butchies at Shpw was great, although not too many people there. Bought two Kimya CDs and a Butchies CD along with 3 tshirts at 5 bucks each, all with drawings by Kimya, super cute animals! Getting set for a bike ride today before going to work this evening. Also started preparing to take the GRE.

Hi Pammy ! Just a quick question - how did you get your link section set up ? Can you do that with a free account, or are you a paid user now ?? Please let me know as it'd be VERY useful to be able to access web pages instantly.
Speak soon ! By the way, been reading in The Guardian about the supposed lion seen in the suburbs of Columbus !!

as far as the link section goes - you can do it if you have a free account, but it only works with certain journal styles. I got there by looking at the About tab at the top and then at Paid Accounts. Then click on Features By Account Type link within the text of the Paid Account area. There was a link in there somewhere about putting links in. It was quite hard to find. I'll see if I can't find an easier way. But you may need to try different journal styles after adding the links if you can't see them on the page.

Thanks ! For some reason I only just saw this whilst looking at your journal as an overall thing, as it wasn't forwarded to me as an e-mail as is usual with LJ comments. I think I may have looked at other journal styles once but disliked the layout of my User Info page so stuck with what I knew, so I may have missed out on the link-making facility without realising it.

Actually I got scared and decided not to play around with my journal in case I can't get it back to how it was originally and am stuck with an eyesore ! I think you can only make five links anyway if you're a free user, so what I'll do is to have an entry which is JUST loads of links and find that entry using my Calendar when I want to access one of 'em. I could have HUNDREDS then, each with a little description, and could keep adding more using the Edit Entries facility. Or - even better - I might try typing in links on my User Info page if that's allowed.

this is a crazy story. a lion was sighted in the suburbs here, but no one has been able to find it. so far they have found a coyote (!) and a deer, and they think this is the stuff of urban legend. some enterprising person is trying to sell t shirts as well, LOL.
