I deserve a raise

I saw this article on CNN.  Basically it says that if you consider all the work that a mom does as part of being a mom (cooking, cleaning, washing, driving, etc.) and if you consider how many hours she spends doing each task and the median salary for professionals who do the same, she should earn about $138,000 per year.

think of all the people who you owe for their own ass-wiping though. it balances out. it's a giant pyramid scheme, this ass-wiping and motherhood.

by the way, I got a nice magnet in the mail the other day from you guys. I think jenn and I now have a good reason to plan our midsummer outing to the Bay Yarea.

Yeah...I felt like that statistic was kind of ridiculous, as they were comparing the stay-at-home mom with $138,000 to the average working mom's salary at just $85,000. Because, at least in MY mom's case, she worked all day, and THEN came home and did the cooking and cleaning and laundry and shopping and all that. So shouldn't her salary be both of them added together, or something?

Okay, seriously? You are freaking hilarious. Yorkey could have written this post, I swear it.

I am highly enjoying reading this entries. I think we need to hear more about Mr. Kathy's house, and perhaps see some pictures of this amazing place with pubes everywhere in the shower.

I am sad that my posts have not been funny as of late.

The archives are full of Kathy family lore. I'd recommend this one: http://pan2.livejournal.com/122637.html since it links to posts about the notorious space porn and bloody toe socks.

Personally, I'm sad that my posts have not been existent as of late.
