I agree with your sentiments and have found massive shopping complexes such as Mac centre and Warringah Mall to be the most easily accesable exemplars of them. They preach spending money for pleasures they tell us are pleasurable and desirable with big signs saying things like "endulge" and "escape" and encourage one to think that it is ones right to have whatever one wants whenever one wants it in exchange for the required amount of currency. You shouldn't think about the plastic packaging that your desirable object came in that depletes the resources that run our society, or about the gases released in it's manufacture that will give your grandchildren cancer ( ... )
