I'm so glad you liked it! Sam's perspective was surprisingly easy to get into, actually. Maybe it's because I can totally related to being exhausted and over-worked, haha. :)

Thanks for your review!

I LOVE FICS LIKE THIS! EVERYTHING IS CUTE AND FRIENDSHIP AND NOTHING HURTS!

I also like that Sam doesn't have any real problem with his little brother crushing on Kurt, he's just a little jealous mixed in with how much he feels like he owes Kurt. I always like seeing straight guys being allies, it makes me feel so much better about the world. Anyway.

THIS WAS CUTE! I loved little Stevie's crush on Kurt, so cute! <3

Honestly, even though I entertained the vague idea of either Sam or his parents getting weirded out by the whole "Stevie having a crush on Kurt" thing, it never solidified in my mind because it just didn't seem in character. I've always kind of seen Sam as this "Finn v. 2.0: This is How To Do It Correctly" and he's never given even the slightest hint of being homophobic to me. (I mean, really: when Kurt approached him in the showers, he was all "k dude ur weird" but not "omg panic" and if he was gonna show latent homophobia, I'm thinking "naked in the showers talking to his openly gay classmate" is the prime opportunity.) So it just never seemed natural to even have it cross his mind.

Besides, Stevie's seven in this story. I think the whole "oh, wait, is this a legit crush?" worry might have come up if he was like, twelve, and even then I think Sam would be more worried about Stevie's safety (at McKinley) than concerned over his apparent orientation.

And I'm really glad you liked how it turned out! Thanks so much for reviewing! :)

(hijacking this response)

' "Finn v. 2.0: This is How To Do It Correctly" ' - Oh my god. That's. That's. That's amazing.
I'll never be able to look at sam the same way again.

Right? Right?

Like, I want Sam to sit Finn down and go over lessons in "How To Be Comfortable With Your Sexuality and Not Alienate Your Gay Step-brother". It's an oddly specific class, but I imagine Finn needs it. ;P Or at least, he did in the first half of season 2 -- let's hope his sudden comfort and maturity with Kurt expands over into season 3. (If he regresses, I swear, I AM DONE. CANNOT DEAL WITH THAT NONSENSE ANYMORE.)

Oh, I'm glad I was able to get Stevie's crush across well. I based it loosely on my experience with my little cousin, who (for a good two years or so) was pretty clingy with me whenever I'd come visit for holidays, as well as a scattering of kids I've babysat for over the years, so I'm glad it worked out story-wise. And Sam was shockingly easy to write, though I have no idea why. -__-;

Thanks for your review! :D

Sam's really going through a crappy time in his life during this part of the show, and I tried my best to get across that it was a combination of things that were weighing down on him. I'm also a big sucker for Klaine + Sam stories, if only because I really do think they would be a perfect support system for Sam during that point. Everyone else in New Directions except Mercedes OMG SAMCEDES is either caught up in their own drama or too far removed from the whole ordeal. Especially since Sam is closer to all the guys in canon, and let's be honest here: most of those New Directions boys have the emotional range of a teaspoon. oh god I need Harry Potter/Glee fusion SO BADLY RIGHT NOW.

It makes me happy to hear that I was able to show how much crap Sam is going through and make him sympathetic, despite how he winds up treating Kurt. Thank you so much for your review!

I'm so glad you liked my version of Sam! He's so one of my favorite characters in fanon, because for all that he's underused in canon, he's so versatile. And in my head, season three is going to be all about Sam and Blaine discovering they're super nerdy best friends and Kurt realizing that he can treat Sam like his Very Own Ken Doll, because Mercedes will Totally Support That, and they will all go on double dates (or triple dates for however long Finn & Rachel make it work, which will probably be like, three episodes) and it will be MAGICAL. MAGICAL, I say.

Also, I've shipped Samcedes ever since she sang "Hell to the No" and Sam made her that awesome "HELL NO" sign and I was like, "SO MUCH MORE AWESOME THAN SAM-TANA." I just need backstory. Or hell. Any story. And I'm a little terrified of season 3 screwing it up, because they are just so cute.

...anyway, right. Fanfic. Thank you so much for your review! I'm glad you liked it~ ♥
