Valentine's Day is approaching!  Sometimes when I get fed up with all of the pink and the red and the hearts, I pretend it is a holiday to honor the human circulatory system.  Through thick and thin, the blood keeps on pumping.  Thanks, capillaries!

So on one hand, there is my general cynicism and suspicion about Valentine's Day.  On the other ( Read more... )

Heh, you'll be surprised how hypocritical romance can make you feel. And how totally at peace with hypocrisy it will make you. And how at peace it will make you at being at peace with hypocrisy. It's strangely pretty wonderful, to be honest.

Also, I showed my mum Colin's new profile picture and she thinks it's the cutest damn thing ever.

I finally realized that Quirrel from A Very Potter Musical is in my English class.

!!! Oh my goodness! Can you squeeze him for information on the possible sequel?

Zen hypocrisy--eet ees marvelous! Also, I continue to love that apparently your default icon for discussing me & Colin is Watson & Holmes. It sort of begs the question, though, which of us is Watson, and which is Holmes?

My favorite is the progression between his most recent profile picture and this one. It tells a little story!

I feel super-weird talking to him about AVPM, because I imagine he doesn't particularly want to be known as That Quirrel Dude, but if it comes up in conversation, I shall keep my ears perked.

Lol, it's probably my icon that best expresses affection.

Hee, that's how I showed it to mum. Like a little flipbook. "Old pic, new pic, old pick, new pic".

I think that's pretty understandable. I wonder if the AVPM gang know just how much of a cult internet following they have. I mean, it's actually pretty massive, especially on Livejournal. One of the biggest reasons I love the show so much was how much it's revived Potter fandom. Seriously, for the first time in ages Potter fandom feels a lot less srs bsns and with the series being over, fandom needed a boost.

I should probably respond to your post, but I'm not going to. Instead, I'm going to say, "You're graduating in the spring, right? Right???" I hope you are... just because of the sheer epicness of it.

The human circulatory system is pretty amazing. Your heart has been beating about once a second, day and night, for OVER TWENTY YEARS. WITHOUT EVER STOPPING. EVER. I try not to think about that too much...

Happy Valentine's day! :)

Yeah, the human heart's got a good thing going; there's no point in jinxing things!

Thanks, hope you had a happy Valentine's day as well!
