Hee, clothes shopping with Holly makes things more interesting. Mostly because she spends the entire time either dragging her feet or trying to hole up in the Apple store. It makes it a challenge!
I'm terrible at clothes shopping. I'm a little better at clothes buying, which doesn't involve trying on fifty bajillion things, and buying four. But it is an awful experience, IMO.
I don't much care for trying on fifty bajillion things either, to be honest. I usually just try on jeans before buying them (because I have a weird waist). Even prom dresses... I tried on two (bear in mind, my prom dress was bought in my Freshman year and was originally meant for homecoming). I prefer casual shopping, "Oh, I like this and this. I shall buy them!" Period.
Hee, it was fun shopping with you though. Everything I love about you was summed up by you in the Apple Store, all "Ok, I'm done!"
Weirdly, jeans are the one article of clothing that's pretty easy for me. I'm mostly a standard size 8, so most stores carry at least one pair that fits. Shirts and dresses on the other hand... *shudder*
I am now picturing Holly on the run from her fellow clothes-shoppers, hiding out in the Apple store (made difficult by the lack of a front wall), and constructing a fort out of computer boxes.
Aw, as a weirdly-proportioned lady (albeit on an opposite scale), my heart goes out to you.
It seems like the internet should have a solution for this by now. Surely there are specialty mail-order clothes stores for tall folks somewhere on the web? Perhaps that's kind of sketchy, though, I don't know.

Montages make everything better.
