i like the point that are brought up but i feel theres a good enough challenge for almost all of them. the one i disagree with the most is the last 2 things about africa being a continent and stuff. like i think people say african because they dont know exactly which country their descendants are from. people say they are italian-american etc so its not that big of a deal.
why would you admire a senile old man with a 1950's perspective on current issues. If you read your history there is no specified language assigned to uor culture, the idea of a "melting pot" is the incorporation of all nationalities and not just one dominant race (i think thats where hitler went wrong). I understand what rooney means by saying we should all unite under one language since we are under one flag but we def. should be tolerant to foreigners, b/c that is part of the reason the other countries show animosity towards us. All of the Affirmative Action legislations are intended to give African Americans an equal oppurtunity seeing that we have been looked down upon throughout history...there are enough scholarship foundations for those in general who with to pursue them, but since a small percentage of African American go to college b/c of financial reason this would offer them a n incentive to actually seek higher education. I think you should reevaluate your opinion on black people if those views are negative...Peace
oh my god i'm so tired of these black and white issues, especially when i may no comment about black anything. i never said i admired this man or agreed with this man, i simply said i found his views to be interesting.
