"I didnt vote for kerry because im more alligned with bush's beliefs......and kerry is catholic."

i'm pretty sure catholics arent for abortion and gay marriage like kerry is. and kerry even said that his faith doesnt effect his decisions about things, nor his day to day life.. he doesnt want to push his beliefs on anyone else. why else would you want to be president other than push your beliefs and opinions? so for people to say they are with bush's beliefs and dont like catholics..is, yeah, stupid. but to say that kerry is even a true moral catholic is pretty stupid, too.

To only have moral beliefs and opinions on your agenda as president is wrong. A president should not want to only push their beliefs on a country based on many many beliefs.

you dont become president to push your beliefs onto everyone else. You become president to the lead the nation, and seeing how we DON'T have a national religion, i dont see how its fare that he tries to pass laws that are purely based off his religious beliefs. The point i was trying to make by posting that idiotic quote is that, yesterday, a good majority of the nation made this a religious election. And last time i checked, there was a separation between church and state, they arent supposed to have any affiliation, but somewhere down the line people forgot that. So its totally irrelevant if kerry is a moral catholic, because I think its more important to be a moral person. but thats just my opinion.

when you're religious, its hard not to base your decisions off of that. obviously being president you want what YOU want and what YOU think is best for the country into laws and whatnot, so saying by being president you arent putting your beliefs out on the line is a obsurd statement. bush BELIEVED a war was the best answer- we went to war. kerry BELEIVES in a right to choose- so he would have kept abortion legal.
its so cliche yet so true that this country was based on RELIGION, freedom of beliefs.. GOD. i'm sorry but personally i dont want to live in a sinful corrupted society as much as we already do. so to say you arent going to vote for the canidate you feel will help this country move as far away from that is dumb, of course i'm going to want a president who doesnt want abortion because of my beliefs that its wrong, and its murder, but thats a whole different argument. ethics plays a huge role in laws.. anyway you look at it, it ALL goes back to religion.

You didn't convert me, I've felt this way. I don't really care that much about it though. I was just mainly thought he shouldn't base everything on his religion.
