God dammit. So, i turned the brightness down on my monitor, right? And then i went to turn it back up.. and that button is broken. And it's stuck at 17% brightness. Useable, but only barely. On the other hand, it's been dying for a while. It snapped free of it's base, and the glue that was subsequently applied there, before i even inherited it. And

Looks like all it needed was a little shift side to side with the button, and it started working again!

Is it a flat screen or a tube, and how large? I have a couple extra monitors, but they're old style, if it acts up again and you don't want to buy a new one.

I have some REALLY NICE (even if crt )screens I can give you
