Thanks for all the concern you guys showed on Dave's journal, it's really appreciated. I apparently had an allergic reaction that was making it difficult to breathe, but they sorted me out once I got to the ER. I'm tired, but totally recovered ( Read more... )

Davio didn't mention Harry Potter - I was afraid you'd been dealing with docs ALL this time! And as for the smoke - you and I (and many others we know) need to buy a LOT of stuff from this store - some of the better ones are several pages in...

I'm glad you've got something to deal with the next time (but I'd rather that there not be one!) Is it something other than an epi-pen?

Do NOT hesitate to call me again if *ever* you need anything! We gimps have to stick together (no offense meant)

It is, in fact, an EpiPen.

And that site makes me happy. There should totally be a Gimp Pride shirt there.

Totally with you on HP--I felt so satisfied after we saw it! And I still think you're a bad-ass for making it despite the emergency room AND the dr. appt. : )

there was some movie with Nick Cage and Sean Connery where they do that needle to the chest thing (The Rock?) that goes more for me. I've only seen PF once. Good to know you're prepared and all but wouldn't an inhaler been less invasive?

That, and other stuff, is why I'm hoping that law they passed in Belmont starts reaching the other cities around it. Have you heard of this wonderful legal manuever? It's illegal to smoke outside now. They can get fined! Apparently anywhere that is not outside of one's own home, in apartments breaks the law due to shared A/C vents, is considered a no no now.

Actually, several years back, nearly a decade, they listed the stuff in the filters. Currently there'e much worse and significantly more deadly stuff in them than anthrax. Still, every little bit helps.

Albuterol inhalers help with asthma. I assure you, I was using mine, but that fact that it only barely made an impact was what made me sure that it wasn't asthma. Epinephrine is what's needed to control an allergic reaction, and is administered via syringe.

In other news, Belmont is my hero.

My irritation with cigs is minor but sometimes it's just really really bad. That's why I'm hoping the Belont thing branches out.

It went into effect recently but this is when I first heard about it: Clicky!
