Well... no more saying macs don't get viruses

Because I just came across one, and it ate Mozilla Firefox. I suppose I need to find a free virus/spyware eating thing. I've tried a couple with no fix to the problem. Everytime I open Mozilla or try to no windows come up. I tried erasing it and redownloading it but the problem is still there

Can you point me to what you've read about this problem, or a google search phrase to re-find it?

AFAIK, OS X is still entirely in-the-wild virus-free. (Though there have been reports of one or two malicious trojans.)
