[summary] Suki Desu Suzuki-kun!! Chapter 16
I was quick this time! :D Sorry that the pictures aren't the best, I don't have a scanner so all I can do is get by with a digital camera and Photoshop. ;D I do want a scanner though...someday. xDDD
Following on from where we left off, Hoshino and Chihiro are bracing themselves to take on the low-life high schoolers. Hoshino recites a base teaching of the Tennen Rishin fencing style (of the Shinsengumi) as words of encouragement for the two of them, she then explains to Chihiro, "I believe it means that one should not bother themselves with form or technique, simply do whatever it takes to win!!" Chihiro responds, "I see, so in a fight, whatever goes!", and taking Hoshino's words to heart, she starts off the fight by flicking up her skirt to get the boys oogling and distracted (you go girl! XD), before whacking them one. Hoshino jumps into the fray, once again perfectly pulling off the choreographed fighting moves like a true master swordsman, much to Chihiro's amazement.
Tired and bruised, they eventually manage to take out the high schoolers, at which point Hoshino finally reverts to her normal self and can't seem to stop trembling. Chihiro is surprised, telling Hoshino that she was awesomely brave just a moment ago during the fight. Hoshino can't believe it herself, "I had no idea the battles I rehearsed would go so well for the real thing... But when I saw you in danger, Chihiro-chan, I just lost all sense..." Chihiro thanks Hoshino for saving her, and tells her that she looked really cool, but Hoshino insists that the cool one was Chihiro, and they both go back and forth for a moment before falling into a heap of laughter (best friends <3).
Suddenly a bunch of new high schoolers turn up looking for more action, called up by the sore-loser ringleader from the original group. Peeved off, Chihiro calls him a coward and can't believe that he'd go that far just to get the better of two middle school girls. But before they even lay a finger on the girls, Hikaru and Shinobu come charging in like madmen to save the day, "Get away from Hoshino and Chihiro, YOU BASTARDS!!!" while drop-kicking the closest high schoolers to Chihiro and Hoshino. Both guys put their jackets around the girls, "Leave the rest to us!!"
Before the fight starts, Shinobu mumbles under his breath,"Damn them! How dare they get to see Chihiro in her underwear before me..." Surprised, Hikaru asks Shinobu whether he's in love with Chihiro. The pair end up fighting again, and synchronously take out the rest of the high-schoolers during their argument. Seeing that they're going to lose, the ringleader grabs Chihiro and Hoshino as hostages, however the two bite him to free themselves. Angry, the guy draws back his plank to strike them, but Hikaru and Shinobu jump in to take the blow. The guy smirks at them, "Fools! That's what you get for trying to be cool in front of girls." Now they're pissed! And for once Hikaru and Shinobu agree on something, that this guy needs to be TAKEN DOWN! XDD After knocking the guy out, they give him the thumbs down, "We're fine being fools! We'll put our lives on the line for the girls we treasure any time, any day!!" After which both guys splurt blood from their heads and are knocked out cold (partly due to catching a full glimpse of Chihiro and Hoshino's half naked bodies XD).
Hikaru wakes up to a worried Hoshino fretting over him. After ascertaining that Hoshino and the others are all safe and sound, Hikaru apologises for being a fool by causing a misunderstanding and making Hoshino cry. Hoshino's not taking any of it, and in a burst of anger, "Suzuki-kun is so stupid! I was so worried, your head was bleeding and you had 3 stitches! Why did you have to be so reckless? I hate you, Suzuki-kun!"
before tightly grabbing him into an embrace, "Don't do anything so reckless again...!" Flustered, Hikaru is unprepared for the sudden closeness of their bodies, and is about to spaz out again until he realises that Hoshino is trembling. He holds her tightly and thinks, "I'm sorry Hoshino...If it means protecting you, I'll probably never stop being reckless."
In another room, Chihiro is tending to Shinobu's (noticeably lighter) injuries. Chihiro apologises (for getting him hurt), but Shinobu ignores that and instead asks her why she isn't tending to Hikaru. Chihiro replies that Hoshino is there, and that she doesn't want to get in their way. She then remembers the two of them fighting together against the high schoolers and thinks, "It's all right. Even though this pain still aches in my heart, I'm not going to cry anymore." She then says to Shinobu, "You know, I love Hikaru very much... But it seems that I've fallen for Hoshino-san too." Aww! xD Here's to the beginning of a wonderful friendship between Hoshino and Chihiro.
Sorry again about the bad quality of the pictures! But hopefully they still come across well so you get what's going on. xD They're not as pretty as scanned image, but I did my best to level them and clean them up. X3
