Good news everyone! School is out for winter break, I can now sleep ridiculous amounts and play video games all day. I'll probobly work on art at some point as well

I'm really glad that you enjoy sculpture so much, I think that it's something that you could be really good at and have your own voice through. I know that you're not a very talkative person usually but you can make really pretty things and get your perspective across that way. That reliquary project for example, it's so airy and cute! The pieces with the red yarn are really interesting as well and I'd like to see where you'll take that idea next. The showerheads are particularly jarring.
Have you had any trouble with having Tony as a professor, or is he not an issue? I've heard a lot of things about him, but I haven't ever had him myself so I don't know anything firsthand. Btw, that Attack of the Killer Kitten poster is really cool too, I like the filter that you put over it to make it look like an old movie poster (or if the picture of you is just that way, well it works!). It looks like you had a great semester!
I'm glad you like them! I feel like I can get ideas out a lot better through sculpture, I feel strange doing non-figurative work in 2-D and I feel like this allows me a chance to step away from that.
Tony was very frightening to me at first. He got on my nerves badly enough at one point for me to kinda snap at him and I guess after that I stopped being as afraid of him. I think the thing about Tony is that he's just intimidating, and somewhat of an ass.
I didn't use a filter, but I did play with the coloration a lot. My camera also has tendencies towards taking slightly grainy pictures and I also had to make the picture larger, so it made that stand out a even more.
Aww, thank you Jamie! *o* It is something I would really like to continue doing.
Oh my goodness, I am very excited about taking that class. Actually, the next thing I'd like to do for my red yarn series is partially performance based. The process of threading the shower heads involved me making a giant trail of yarn around the tables ceramics room and I would have to continuously guide it around the room to keep it from getting tangled. In those moments I felt like I had become some sort of human sewing machine. I'd like to recreate that experience as a performance piece. There's a lot that I would still need to figure out about how it would work exactly, but that's my starting point.
Aw man that's exciting that you're getting ideas already. :D Don't forget you'll be able to do independent studies too if there's stuff you want to pursue something more! WOOO!
WOOHOO, A POST! I was wondering what you had been up to lately (insanely busy creating MASTERPIECES, obviously!)
These are just breathtaking, I couldn't believe my eyes when I first saw them on facebook! You're really onto something here, and you've already got a great start for this "red thread" series.
Did you have any other projects this semester, or were these the major ones? I wanna see more pictures! Very inspiring, all the same. It seems 3D/installation work can go overlooked compared to other art forms, but easily pushes boundaries and can be the most powerful.

These are not the only things I made this semester, but they're the only things I feel are worth showing off.
