Ace Attorney - Apollo Justice!

Dec 01, 2010 01:14

This game was recommended to me as incredibly silly and also easy to play (and I do trust the recommender's judgment in both points), so how could I resist when I found a cheap used version online?

I'm glad to have karnimolly at my side, though, because I don't know if I could handle this all on my own. And with this I mean...

THE AMOUNT OF GAY-WIN GAVIN.

I can't blame Polly for his inability to think coherently when he's facing THIS.

Or standing next to THIS.

But together we made it through the first trial and about half-way through the second - and to this point I can safely say that I enjoy the game lots and lots, although there are boring passages.

A few first impressions!

- I was so very distracted by Kristoph standing right beside Apollo in the first trial... Damn, all I heard about him couldn't prepare me for his infamous smile!
- Apollo is so adorably cute. <3

And he always voices my exact thoughts, which makes him extra-likeable!
- Everyone is cleverer than him, even a 15-year-old naive girl! Doesn't the poor guy ever get to think on his own?
- I won't complain about that, though, because I approve of an easy game play that doesn't expect me to be good at anything. ;)
- Klavier's PERFECT GAY BEAUTY dazzled me. While my guard was down, his guitar move hit me completely unprepared! I swear, it took us a minute to recover from what we had just witnessed... He truly is nothing for the faint-hearted!
- Apollo can't handle his gay vibes. <3 <3 <3
- However, there are characters that makes me want to strangle them occasionally, namely Phoenix and his daughter, but they are also adorable in a way, so I'll do it lovingly. ;)

Also, I like it that the game allows you to do silly mistakes, which gave us the opportunity to present the panties we had collected as evidence several times in the court room - to a stunned audience and a completely unimpressed Klavier - thus probably ruining poor Apollo's reputation forever. :]

I can't wait to play more tomorrow! <3 (After a while, one does get tired of reading so much on a DS screen...)
That game is certainly addicting in its utter silliness - and the best about it is that it doesn't even try to be remotely authentic.

EDIT: By now I've almost finished the game and I have to add that I do like Hobo!Phoenix and his weird sense of humour and think that Trucy is just so adorable it's impossible not to like her. <3
Also, Phoenix used to be quite likeable when he was younger, even though his voice is scaring the hell out of me.
