I'm not very active lately on the interwebs, due to many reasons - some of them are RL problems, which always kind of stifle every urge to actually be productive, and then my head's full with ancient Romans as my presentation and the term paper on Cicero and Caesar draws nearer, and last but not least, I blame the warm, sunny weather! And I've got to agree with you on Kaoru too. :3 There were times in the manga when I just wanted to punch Hikaru, but Kaoru was always so loving to his brother and put Hikaru's desires first. ;A;

I have to say I generally avoid Kaiba brother fics, as they usually are so very sappy and/or tragic, it's repulsive. They have lots of difficulties and issues that they'll probably never work out. They can manage, especially if Mokuba matures (so at least one of them acts like a grown-up) - but what I'd like to see Mokuba becoming independent and going his own way.

Yeah, a lot of Kaiba stuff is pretty dull, sadly. I think most Mokuba fans are reluctant to portray him moving away from Seto at all, which really can smother stories sometimes.
He was instantly the most likeable of the two, a-and when he kissed Hikaru to share the experience with him only for Hikaru to be a completely bitch I really felt for him. ;A;

I can so see that happening eventually, that they estrange themselves and even break contact.
I agree with you on that, most Mokuba fans love them as close brothers.
Something that disturbs me the most about that is Seto always showing affection towards Mokuba by hugging him and saying "I love you" at any occasion. oo"
Yessss, there were several scenes that broke my heart.
