On the topic of Loki (or What am I doing with my life)

‘It was, Loki thought, as though the hammer were made for him. A runt, like him. Flawed, like him.
Misunderstood… like him. But magnificient, no question.’ (Trials of Loki #1)
I'm not that fond of the encompassing storyline, but it was the comic where I first liked the art and even Loki's design (especially his outfit).
Also, it retells the myths ( Read more... )

oh Gott, der ultra Loki post schlechthin. XD
Allegorie! Ich kann die Dinger nicht auseinander halten.
sehr schöne Zusammenfassung ;3;
und jetzt will ich wieder JIM lesen...

Hi!!!!!! What's up? I can see you know pretty much about loki and I'm going to ask you an hard question... I really hope you do know the answer 'cause it's killin me... Sorry for the extremely late answer! Livejournal hid the question from me for some reason.

It's from The Mighty Thor, the new Thor-centred run. KidLoki is starring in the first issues, too (#1-8). I don't know if he appears after that, though, because I stopped reading this run.

The page is from The Mighty Thor #6, and oh god, that scene really got to me.

If you don't mind me asking, what's the title of the comic with Shouta!Loki? I love the way they draw him, it's gorgeous and I'd like to look into that. :3

Also, pretty much agree with you on, like, everything. XD

I do love the comics, but I this is the first time I've been able to collect them on my own. X3 But so far I only have crossovers like Civil War.

But thank you soo much~ :D I'll definitely look that up and see if I can't buy a couple. Just the idea of kid!Loki running around in the aftermath of something he's done seems really interesting and I wonder how everyone else will react to him.

But thanks again!! I really appreciate it! <3

Hey, loved your post! It was really interesting to read, and I would love to read the comics you mentioned, is there anyway to read them online? Or do you just buy them...? It's hard to get ahold of them where I live. :(

I know what you mean, there's no way to get English comic books around here, too! I usually download them, and then try to find the ones I liked on e-bay and gradually buy them when I have some spare money.

For downloading, you can just google the name of the issue and add ".cbr" (e.g. "journey into mystery 636 .cbr"), because that's what the files are usually called. (You can also try .rar or .zip)
Opening .cbr files is easy, you can either just unzip them or download a program called "Comical" to open them with and read them. I highly recommend Comical, because it makes reading a lot easier! :>

You can also try to look for the issues on pages like these: Ebookee.

There's just one problem, and that's finding the older ones, because some of the hosting sites deleted all the material and all the links are invalid now. You have to search a lot for links that work. :/

The thing with comics is: Nothing is set in stone. This is interesting, as you can play with ideas and look at things from different perspectives as writer and as reader, but it's also frustrating and confusing, especially if you've just started to immerse yourself into the matter ( ... )
