Synaesthesia anyone?

Um, so I made a meme today and there was a silly question to pick numbers for certain characters you like (I had Jack, Crow and Seto and I chose 8, 13 and 5, because of the colours that are connected with those characters for me: violet, something orange-yellow, blue.)

I once read that there's people who automatically associate words or numbers with colors. I don't know if there's a scientific explanation though...
Personally, I don't see colors when I look at a word or number, but I find it endlessly fascinating that some people do. I can't imagine what that's like. =)

I read the wikipedia article but it's not really that informative. Oo
I don't really have this ability, it's just that in my mind numbers are always coloured. Not when I read them in an other colour, though. But since I discovered this, remembering numbers is much easier. :3
I wish this would help me to get better in maths!
