One of the odd things Elliot noticed about Leo, in those first few weeks after the slim orphan had moved into the servant's room off the side of his bedroom, was that Leo was always awake and fully dressed long before he came to drag Elliot out of bed. By the same token, he never went to bed before Elliot did, even on those late school nights where Elliot was trapped beneath a pile of essays. If he didn't know better, Elliot would think his servant never slept at all, especially after the time Elliot snuck into the side room in the middle of the night and found Leo, in a nightshirt for once, still awake and curled around his newest book.

It wouldn't have seemed odd if Leo had been professionally trained as a servant (like all the alternatives Elliot's family tried to offer him during those first few months), but it was well known that Leo had some odd ideas about how a servant should
