ABOUT YOURSELF
Name/Nickname: Kuri
Age: 19
Likes: Animals, anime and manga, being outside, stargazing, swingsets, teasing people, sweets…
Dislikes: I’m pretty laid-back, but I can’t stand people who are abusive and take advantage of other people, animal cruelty, cigarettes, math, needles, drama between families and friends, or seafood. I break down any time that I see anyone close to me hurt, especially if it’s my fault, and from time to time my biggest dislike is more myself than anything else, really.
Interests/Hobbies: Reading, writing, music, hiking, psychology, cooking.
Please describe your personality: I contradict myself in a lot of ways and there’s an extremely odd mix of tsundere and yandere going on, here. Up until I turned 18 and moved in with my father I went through a lot of abuse and rejection and general ~lol happy tiemz~ under my biological mother. I haven’t talked to her in over a year now so hell if I know what’s going on with her, but the insecurity still eats away at me from time to time, and that’s probably the biggest issue in my life still. Otherwise… I’ve gotten better at making friends and have worked on fixing my low level of self-worth. I’m extremely loyal to everyone that I care about and overprotective of people more vulnerable than myself, and though I’m a bit shy at first I’m extremely open about playing and teasing and joke!flirting once I get to know and trust people. This sometimes gets mixed with a bad habit of putting on different personalities to try to keep other people happy, since more often than not I try to hide insecurity by just teasing people relentlessly and grinning like an idiot no matter what’s going on with me. (Don’t get me wrong, though-I never do that when someone else is upset and I’m very sympathetic.) On the inside I'm a very emotional person, but I don't like showing that often so at times I come off as too logical and harsh to the people I care about most. I am capable of being the one to state facts and distribute tough love, and sadly sometimes people don't understand that tough love is still love, so I'm considered cold or a jerk. On the other hand, I'm the person in my group of friends who's often the most trusted and the first to know if anything is wrong with someone. I adore animals and am studying to be a vet, but I do have a little bit of adventure lust and love exploring and wandering aimlessly around places, so as dedicated as I am to my university studies, I find it hard to anchor myself to them sometimes…
Please describe your appearance or post a few pictures of yourself (please put pictures under a link): Boring and plain, really. Somewhere around or 162cm, thin, the most amazingly unexciting long-and-pin-straight brown hair and equally boring brown eyes. Skin is a light tan-maybe-olive tone, and by mid-summer there have been a few people who’ve mistaken for Latina or something since I tan so much.
THIS OR THAT
Leader or Follower? Very much a reluctant leader. I’m a little bit shy and insecure about taking responsibility for other people, but if there’s no other way to get things done then I’ll try my best.
Listener or Speaker? Listener. I can be very chatty and playfully teasing when I’m excited about something, but otherwise I prefer to hear what other people have to say.
Persistent or Weak-willed? Back and forth. I lend optimism to other people more often than I do myself, and when it does come to my own problems I go back and forth between being a complete stepford smiler who’s boundlessly optimistic and someone who completely lacks faith in herself and will do nothing but sit around despondently for long periods of time. The latter is almost always due to family issues…
Pessimistic or Optimistic? Pretty much what I put for the above. I go back and forth, but try to be optimistic and strong for other people.
Patient or Impatient? It depends on what I’m waiting for. I’m patient with most people, but I get bratty and fidgety when I’m waiting for most other things. Like food, ffff
Common Sense or Book Smart? Mostly common sense, but I love reading too and my grades aren’t the worst they could be, I guess. I shuffle between an idealistic airhead and someone who’s a lot more perceptive than she seems, I guess.
Business or Pleasure? Sadly, you have to have both, so I try to balance as best as I can.
PANDORA HEARTS
Who is your favorite character and why? I fangirl all of them a lot, but when it comes down to who I love most, it’s probably… still impossible to choose, hurr. Maybe a threeway tie between Elliot/Oz/Gil? Gil was the first character in the series to steal my heart, because he’s a lot like my best friend with his strange hair and wibbling and how great he is to tease so incredibly loyal and sweet, and absolutely a fail!knight. Shh, I like damaged goods. You’ve got this guy who looks like he’s going to be such an angsty badass, but instead he’s this angsty pathetic adorable moe character with occasional badassery. :’D Oz is just such a cute little brat and between his endearing outward optimism and his sadder moments I kind of want to hug him forever, and Elliot… well, he’s just cool. Wise beyond his years in appreciating his life, and the type of character who’s so, so important even in the real world to snap other people out of their angst and self-doubt. Not to mention that that tsundere "NO I DO NOT WANT TO BE YOUR FRIEND! >/////[" side is just cute.
Who/What is your favorite Chain and why? Probably Alice. She’s the one that everyone’s found out the most about and bonded with over the course of the series, and definitely the most developed chain... Eques is awesome in design and uses, but kind of lacking in any real personality, so I’m not that attached.
If you were in Pandora Hearts, what role would you have? I don’t even know. There’s already such a diverse cast of characters, how would anyone else fit into that? Um… I RP Ada and Lottie kind of, but I’m not much like either of them irl… I-I DON’T KNOW, SOME USELESS SIDE CHARACTER FFF.
