Midterms are this week, but I don't have many. We don't have a Japanese midterm. I took a sort of midterm in my ESSE class this morning. I have an official midterm in Buddhism 101 on Wednesday. God, I hate that class. The professor is a moron; he doesn't know anything about his own religion. I hate people like that ( Read more... )

So many people are like your teacher; completely clueless about the religion they're a part of, but assuming they know everything there is to know... well enough to teach about it, which is horrible.

Oh, it's so true. It really frustrates me. It disgusts me even more that I know more about Buddhism than he does, and I think Buddhism, for the most part, is a load of gunk. When a religion has been altered as often and radically as Buddhism, I take issue with it.

You know, the fact that it has been altered as often and as radically as it has been... makes it seem like it'd make a fascinating study, with a professor who knew half of the bullshit he was talking about.
