Scotty -- Trust Scotty to find the ONE country song Elton has ever even tried to do. And he can play the guitar! Yay that he plays an instrument and can do more than the head tilt lean thing with the mic. He named his guitar Scarlett..... OMG LOOOOL :D And I think he knows exactly what he's doing with the grandma thing. Good vocal, but going first doesn't do him any big favors.
Naima -- Reggae "I'm Still Standing"... hmmmm. It was unique, but it didn't FIT. There was something off about the whole performance. And the ~fake Jamaican accent wasn't necessary. And Steven is being completely non-productive this week I see.
Paul -- Rocket Man. Of fucking course. And he's doing it without bandzilla? Or just the piano? OOOOOOOH :D I could listen to that an embarrassing number of times. A tiny bit more polish and it would be really freaking great. Hopefully the studio is the same.
Pia -- Holy crap girl has curves. Fergie and Axl Rose? Really Jimmy? Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. And I saw either her or Thia doing "Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me" LAST WEEK. JLo and Randy are really being productive and constructive tonight. Yay \0/ And they're right, technically Pia is great, but there's officially no surprise there anymore. And Pia mentioned a Tina Turner song.... so is that next week's theme? "River Deep, Mountain High" Is either a nod to disco or literally a Tina Turner night. We'll have to see if it was just a red herring or not.
StefaNO -- Yeah. So his package was about tight pants and Jimmy riding his ass.... oh crap, so didn't mean it like that. But I'm bored with this vocal. And the end? OMG STOP THE CHEESE.
Lauren -- Stop talking. You make me hate you when you talk. I think I liked the vocal, but when AI do a theme night where the artist is more known for his ballads the night gets way boring way fast to me.
Douchebin -- LOL the taaaaaaail was at the EW shoot. And that whole performance was weird. Wandering around the whole stage. And the piano was on fire. THE PIANO WAS ON FIRE. And the split when he jumped. Just the definition of hot mess. The vocal was shaky and basically terrible too.
Thia -- Is she off key? Or is it just my audio? Or the thumpy bass beat backing track... geez. Bad. And Thiabot strikes again.
Caseeeeeey -- LOL I heart Casey. He got a trim XD Wow the staaaaaars. Where'd that high note come from? I don't know if he fully justified using the save, if I get rid of my Casey bias for a second, but he smartly pulled it all back and did a ballad. I'm gonna vote a few dozen times for him anyway though ;)
Jacob -- Random Mary J. sighting XD ..... um NO. And this vocal is annoying to me tonight for some reason. And Randy's being all musician tonight. Modulation and which chord... sometimes I forget that.
Haley is closing the show? WHAAAAAAAAA? Girl better blow me away.
... I actually really like this. And I hate Haley's voice. Hate hate hate. Her growl is the only real thing you can do to that song to make it different.
