Sooooo 5-0 last night....
First of all I had SUCH a good time hanging out with eleanor_lavish, grey_bard, Sky and... I am such a bad person because I can seriously NOT remember anybody else's names. Have I mentioned I'm terrible with names? Because I sooo am. But yes, fun was had!
As far as the show is concerned.... I WANTED to like it, I really did. But there was something just OFF about the whole thing. I mean the episode started with a Danny and Rachel post-sex scene. And it's not that I don't mind the idea of Rachel/Danny, because oddly enough I don't. (At least THIS version of Rachel. Beginning-of-the-season!Rachel was a total bitch and then they did a midseason re-write of Rachel to make her more likeable and hoped no one would notice or something.) But their whole plotline is completely out of left field. And what the heck happened to Sang Min? They ended in one place with last week's episode and started in the middle of something completely different this week. Which would have been fine. IF LAST WEEK HADN'T ENDED SO ABRUPTLY AND OMINOUSLY.
And Chin. Chiiiiin. You know, I realized something about Chin this morning. In fanfic? He is zen and wise and all this other stuff. In the actual show? They have him do some of the STUPIDEST things on the show. Fanfic!Chin doesn't piss me off. Show!Chin pisses me off to high heaven.
The whole storyline with the governor was just... aggravating is the only word I can use right now. Every other time she was on screen I liked the governor. Last night they shoe-horned her into a plot just so they could find a reason for Steve to get arrested. I mean the only way ~full Immunity and means doesn't apply is if you kill the person who gave those means to you.
Danny? Also acts like an idiot when Rachel is involved. Rachel can't stay in Hawaii anymore cause Hawaii is Stan's! So let's go back to Newark! I've BEEN to Newark. There is nothing SPECIAL in Newark. And not to mention the whole "lets uproot our whole lives AGAIN" thing. *headdesk*
So what did I like about the show?
Danny made Steve eggs! I want to know how in the world the two of them got into a situation where DANNY made STEVE eggs that doesn't involve morning after sex.
You know... I think it really is Alex/Scott and that's just bleeding into their roles of Steve and Danny.
