If anything this episode proves that Kate will end up being immortal. Because, seriously, when you get shot, lose tons of blood in shark infested waters *and* survive a submarine explosion after almost getting knifed by the crazed squirl lady mother of your adopted son, you might have a wee bit of a character shield.
