Until the other half of the American populace can understand the ideas expressed in the following quote, I don't have much hope for us to stay out of the dark ages in terms of equality (for women and for marriage).

Isn't it incredibly baffling that people can think like this in this day and age? It makes no kind of sense. It shocks me that these people are as powerful as they are. I will never understand people who get so enraged over things that a) don't affect their personal lives, and b) don't hurt anyone.
