[Spoiler (click to open)]Everyone on the staff of this show kept saying it was going to be worse than Reichenbach, and I completely disagree. Reichenbach tore my heart out and left it bleeding out on the pavement outside of St Bart's along with that strong, capable, horrendously broken man who had to watch the man he believed in most supposedly give up and jump to his Read more... )

Everything you said. True.
The compulsion I have is just to write some M16 Sherlock spy stuff,
I was kind of hoping we would follow Sherlock on that dead end spy job in the Easter Block countries. I love to watch him be brilliant.

YES. THIS. YES.
He wasn't particularly brilliant this season, was he? Don't get me wrong, The Sign of Three is my new favorite episode, but I'm 99% sure that has everything to do with Johnlock and nothing to do with actual quality of writing. Yes, John married Mary, and it was lovely and adorable, but that episode was about two men who love each other (sexually or not-sexually, it's up to fanfic) finally getting the opportunity to say it blatantly and without regret. Much as I loved that episode, though, Sherlock wasn't particularly clever, was he?

The whole point of this show is Sherlock Holmes, the great detective. Much as I love the Johnlocky goodness, the point of this show is supposed to be the detective stories, no? There was pretty much no plot in TEH, and the plot in TSo3 was the wedding. There were no real "cases" at least ( ... )

Exactly. He knew how to jam a security card and get into a secure building but didn't know that Mycrofts laptop would have a GPS devise.
Unless he did know, and was intending to wait until Mycroft showed up to use John's gun to kill CAM. In which case should he have asked John?... I guess it makes a bit of sense .
I gess we wait now, and warm our hands by fic.
