So, I went to Coney Island on Sunday:).  It was a lot of fun, but I got extremely burnt on the backs of my legs..and my back.  I didn't even think about putting sunscreen on my legs...I learned my lesson.  I also rode the largest ferris wheel in the world!!!!!    It was $6 though..all the rides were crazy expensive there.  I wonder how they ( Read more... )

Hm...

Crazy..you should let me know if u come to Coney Island again. Why did you go?

Thanks for the book list. I'll check it out. I started reading another Jodi Picoult book...it's ok, not as good as the others I've read, and it has some kinda graphic rape stuff. But I think I'll be done soon. You like political stuff, huh>? I haven't been into that, but I am in the mood for something new, so I'll give something a shot. It would be good to learn more about Costa Rica before taking off. From what I understand, besides some agricultural/ecological stuff, it's a very peaceful place...they abolished the military in 1948!, and now they just have police and that's about it.

I was brining my girlfriend to the airport and through it would be fun to quick show her Coney Island on the way. Hopefully I'll be back in Brooklyn before the summer is over though.

And yeah, that is something so amazing about Costa Rica. While most Central American countries have had very long and very bloody civil wars, military coups, and multiple US invasions, Costa Rica is probably the only country in the world to ever willingly disband its armed forces. Its a shame more countries haven't followed their example.

The beaches and cloud forests and all that sound beautiful; I hope you post lots of photos :)

Cool.

Yeah, if only more countries would follow suit.(i was just at State Farm to switch my car insurance and the lady was trying to convince me to buy life insurance. She said, "You're going to a third world country..wouldn't you feel better having some", and I thought, Costa Rica can't really be considered a third world country.

I will definitely take lots of pics...I have to check if I have my computer cable...I'll try to dump some on here.

I'd have to disagree with your friend.
Most of the country see that McCain is just another Bush.
We're all tired of it.

What kind of book are you interested in reading?

We went to Brighton Beach the other day. You should check it out sometime.

Speaking of, when are you FREE?!

Yeah, as we talked about the other night....Well I guess that is encouraging to hear, but his words still kinda haunt me....he seems a bit of a conspiracy theorist....so maybe it's to be taken with a grain of salt, but it got to me. Actually contemplating that McCain is a possibility scares me.

I'm not sure what kind of book. I like fiction and memoirs, especially drug memoirs, but I'd also like to branch out into stuff I haven't read before. I do usually find good books that way.

You guys should pick up an L magazine...they are giving away tickets for two to go see Wanted on the 18th at 7pm...I am going to go, but I thought it would be rude to invite you guys since I only have one other ticket, but if you got two, we could all go:)
