Thanks for putting up this rec - I love this story. I don't know if you're a Georgette Heyer fan, but I'm fairly sure the author is playing on the title of a regency romance by Heyer called "Regency Buck". No similarity as regards plot or characters, though :)

oh.
Well, then! cough I appreciate knowing this. I'm sure I must have read the Heyer at one point, when I read all of her stuff I could get my hands on, but my memory fails me often. Points to the author for the pun, but it still would have been more enticing for me with a different title, but this at least makes sense. *g*
